Bradner Llamas
Daphne

 
        Daphne was born on our farm on May, 23, 2001.  Maureen was here at the time and
        witnessed the birth.  Everything went smoothly.  Daphne was already up and moving
        around when I arrived home about one hour later.   She is about one day old in the
        photo above.

        Daphne's mom is our Keno, and her dad is Kokomo
        Llamas Liberty.

        She was born around noon, and was up and walking
        on very shaky legs in about an hour.  It took a
        little longer for her to start feeding than we
        expected, ie. about four hours.  We were worried
        at first, but things did not happen until we went
        away and stopped watching.  We were probably
        just a nuisance to mom and baby, and once we
        left them alone they did their thing!

        At the end of the day we weighed Daphne and she
        was 29 pounds.

        Daphne is three months old in the picture on the right.
