Total rocket cost is the total cost of the rocket. The total rocket cost ranges from a thousand dollars for a pressure fed dilute hydrogen peroxide and gasoline model rocket to a billion dollars for a pumped Saturn V class cryogenic fueled rocket. Some design choices ranked based on how they add to the overall cost, from costliest to cheapest are the following: high tensile structure, engine pump, hydrogen, liquid oxygen, hydrogen peroxide and quadricyclene.
The cheapest rocket would be a pressure fed, T-1 steel, hydrogen peroxide and quadricyclene rocket. The rocket with the lowest cost per flight would be a reusable, medium pressure pumped, aluminium lithium, oxygen and hydrogen rocket. Given initial labor, pump cost and structure cost total rocket cost can be calculated.
total rocket cost = initial labor + pump cost + structure cost
This is used in rocket cost.
