When the orb came, it granted humanity such wonderous
advancements - genetics, structural engineering, gravitational
manipulation, advanced physics. It opened humanity's eyes to the great
wonders of space and the stars beyond. It facilitated the empowerment of
the human race to step passed the cradle of Earth and into the void of
space. Human became an advanced spacefaring
civilization within 100 years.
Human life is extended, planets are colonized outside the solar system,
psychic powers have become realized through the development of the living
dead Ethereals, and yet, war is still an
ever-present reality. On the eve of the Second Solar War, a second orb
comes, and comes bearing only one message... "help
us".
And a small flotilla of ships are destined to leave the cradle of humankind
behind, and venture out into the great unknown in search of one little
point of space to give unknown aid to humankind's greatest and most
mysterious benefactors.

We are using a program called OpenRPG, quite a cool little Python-based
online RPG tool. It has character sheet, a dice roller, mapping utility and
a bunch of other nifty gadgets. The site for the program is OpenRPG
and it is a free download.

Six years after the last and fiinal War of
Succession, the empire of Equilirium is getting
back on its feet. The Undying Queen, mourning the death of her husband and
king, drives on, forging ahead with her people into a new age free from the
terrifying preditations of the Traitorous Father
God.
In a little hamlet on the foothills of the Dragon Spire mountains, the
citizens are coming to terms with their own struggle. Riches-seeking opportunitists after the platinum supposedly in the
mountains have invaded their quiet, idyllic life and thrown the village of Thaen's Wood into chaotic disorder.
The chaos won't last, as the red clad Queen's Guard with most assuredly
step in and end it before the Great Wyrm becomes
enraged. But is this backdrop enough to ignite the spark found only in a
select few and send them onto the path of heroes?
